Domain Registration and Management Policy
Last Updated: 21 March 20261. REGISTRAR & REGISTRY RELATIONSHIP
1.1 Reseller Status: Curzon Network acts as an authorised Reseller/Partner for our provider. The Member acknowledges that Curzon Network is not a Domain Registrar but an agent providing access to Registry Services.
1.2 Superiority of Registry Terms: The Member’s rights to a Domain Name are subject to the policies of the relevant Registry Operator (e.g., Afilias, Verisign) and the oversight of ICANN or auDA. These third-party policies take precedence over any agreement with Curzon Network.
1.3 Right of Refusal: The Member acknowledges that even if Curzon Network accepts a registration request, the Registry Operator or our provider may reject the application. Curzon Network is not liable for any loss resulting from such a rejection.
2. SPECIFIC .AU REGISTRANT REQUIREMENTS
2.1 auDA Compliance: For all .au domain names, the Member (the "Registrant") irrevocably agrees to be bound by the auDA Published Policies (available at www.auda.org.au).
2.2 Eligibility: The Member warrants they meet all "Eligibility and Allocation" rules for the specific .au namespace. If the Member ceases to meet these criteria, the domain may be cancelled without notice or refund.
2.3 Liability Waiver: The Member releases and holds harmless auDA and the Registry Operator from any claims arising from the registration or use of a .au domain.
3. ICANN & GTLD PROVISIONS (.COM, .NET, ETC.)
3.1 Registrant Rights: The Member acknowledges they have reviewed the ICANN Registrant Rights and Responsibilities and the Registrant Education Information documents. These mandatory resources, along with auDA policies, are available on our Domain Information & Registry Compliance Page (Click Here).
3.2 Whois Accuracy: The Member must provide and maintain accurate, current, and complete contact information. Providing false data is grounds for immediate domain cancellation.
4. DESIGNATED AGENT & MATERIAL CHANGES
4.1 Authorisation: Pursuant to ICANN’s Transfer Policy, the Member explicitly appoints Curzon Network as their "Designated Agent" to approve a "Change of Registrant" on their behalf.
4.2 Scope: This authorisation allows Curzon Network to facilitate material changes to registrant contact information to ensure the continued management and renewal of the domain portfolio.
5. PROVISIONER TRANSPARENCY
5.1 Disclosure of Upstream Providers: In accordance with our provider’s Reseller Agreement and global registry standards, Curzon Network acknowledges that it utilises third-party wholesale infrastructure to provision certain Services, members can request further details/information via email or a Support Ticket.
5.2 Right to Information: Members maintain the right to inquire about the specific Sponsoring Registrar or upstream provider associated with their active Services. Such inquiries must be submitted formally via a Support Ticket in the Member Portal or via email for security verification.
